I truly believe that home; is where the heart is. At home is where we
find ourselves at the end of a busy day, a place where we feel safe and
comforted. Home is where we gather with our Friends and family.
Because our homes are so important to us for many reasons, I believe
that our homes should be our sanctuary, a restful place that we can
feel comfortable, even if the dog ate your favorite shoes, the cat knocked
over great grandma’s vase and the kids are screaming their heads off
just because! Still home can be a restful place through good design.
I always tell my clients that I am a human being before I am a
designer; my life too is filled with stress and annoyances. This is why I
strive to understand the needs of my clients, before I understand their
tastes. I believe that good design allows us to live our lives more
efficiently by eliminating challenging obstacles in our homes, and
surrounding ourselves with colors, finishes, textures, and other elements
we find comforting to us.
